Thailand is home to many amazing food adventures that you can embark on, here are some of the definite must try dishes when you're on vacation.


Pad Thai

Pad Thai is one of the most popular dishes known the world over. Simply known as stir-fried noodles, you'll find them often served at local eateries and as street food. Pad Thai can be found in seafood, vegetable or even in chicken variants across the country. Generally considered more sweet and sour than spicy, you can find versions of this dish at many different price points.


Gai Med Ma Moung

Gai Med Ma Moung or simply chicken cashew nuts is a Thai stir-fry chicken with cashew nuts. Generally made to be very spicy, you can ask for a milder version when you order it. This dish together with veggies makes for one delicious meal and is often served alongside steamed white rice. Restaurants in Mai Khao Phuket are plentiful, and most of them offer this dish, so definitely ask around.


Spring rolls

These delicious crispy fried goodies can be easily found at almost any street food vendor or restaurant. While often served as an appetizer or snack, you could easily grab a bunch of these for a quick meal depending on your mood. Geng Kheaw Wan Gai

Geng Kheaw Wan Gai or Green Curry Chicken is one of the most delicious curries you'll ever have the experience of enjoying. Tom Yum Goong

Massaman Curry

Massaman curry is a softer curry made using a paste that contains rich flavours like cinnamon, cumin, nutmeg and several other spices from the Middle East. The word itself is derived from early Muslim writings from around the 19th century. The curry is generally spicy as it contains dried peppers.


Kao Phad

Often a favourite amongst most tourists and locals, Kao Phad is a Thai fried rice. It generally comes in a variety of meat variants like chicken, beef, shrimp or crab. Found at many street vendors across Thailand it's made using eggs, onions, garlic and a delicious seasoning.


Som Tam

Som Tam is a combination of all the five tastes such as sour, salty, savoury, hot and sweet. Translated as green papaya salad, this is a staple street food in Thailand. The dish is both fresh and very easy to prepare.
