Beach Shopping in Seminyak

A stroll along the beach in Seminyak will undoubtedly be filled with window shopping, little peeks into lovely boutiques and perhaps a quick purchase of souvenirs from a street side vendor. Those who are residing in a beach side hotel such as Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort will be able to peruse the many items for sale at stores such as Biasa Bali and the Nyaman Gallery which sells artwork. However, if you wish to visit a shopping mall, you cannot go wrong with the Seminyak Village in Bali, a shopping and lifestyle centre. This mall is a must visit if you are a shopping enthusiast living in a Seminyak hotel in Bali. Launched in October 2015, the mall is two storied and complete with a number of shops selling clothing items as well as restaurants, play areas and a spa.

The Ubud Art Market

Those who visit Ubud, the heart of Bali, will be overwhelmed by the creative vibe that seems to permeate the entire town. Ubud is often referred to as the imaginative core of Bali and thus, attracts numerous artists and artisans. In keeping with this creative image, the town hosts the Ubud Art Market. Also referred to as Pasar Seni Ubud, the Ubud Art Market is open every day and sells a variety of 'artsy' goods such as silk scarves, unique hand crafted souvenirs, woven bags and hats. Movie lovers may also recognise the Ubud Art Market from the movie Eat Pray Love in which Hollywood actress Julia Roberts is seen perusing and strolling through the market.

The Discovery Shopping Mall in Kuta

One of the largest shopping attractions in Kuta, the Discovery Shopping Mall is located down Jalan Kartika Plaza and is around ten minutes away from the Bali airport. This shopping mall is spread across three floors that host stores showcasing both national and international brands. Right in front of the Discovery Shopping Mall, shoppers will be able to see the famous water park named Waterbom Bali as well. The Discovery is also home to an amphitheatre which has hosted a number of concerts.

The Kuta Beachwalk

Open daily from 10am to 10pm, the Kuta Beachwalk is considered the largest shopping attraction in Kuta. Spread across nearly four hectares of land, the Kuta Beachwalk is the first of its kind on this Indonesian island. While the architecture of Kuta Beachwalk mimics a Balinese paddy field, the entire building is designed to be eco-friendly and is even equipped with a special system that aids in collecting rainwater.

The Sukawati Art Market

Similar to the Ubud Art Market, another art market is found in Sukawati. It is considered to be one of the oldest art markets in the country. Also known as Pasar Seni Sukawati, this art market is well known for the sale of wooden figurines, handicrafts, and other handmade products.
