Sushmita Sen, now a renowned Bollywood actress was the first Indian woman to have been crowned Miss Universe, back in 1994. She was only 18 at the time.

Let's revisit that iconic moment when the stunning Bangalore girl Lara Dutta won the coveted title of Miss Universe 2000. Lara Dutta, who was born in Ghaziabad, was the second Indian woman to be crowned Miss Universe in the year 2000.

Nation and Bollywood's heartthrob, often referred to as the ‘most beautiful woman in the world’, Aishwarya Rai was titled Miss World back in 1994. She went on to become one of the leading actresses of Bollywood following her win, and starred in several international movies as well.

Diana Hayden, Miss India, is crowned Miss World 1997 on the Seychelles. She studied Acting and Drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London, UK. She starred in the Bollywood movie 'Ab Bass' and the Indian TV show Bigg Boss 2.

Miss India, 23 year old Reita Faria, who is studying to become a Gynaecologist, is elected the most beautiful girl in the World. In 1966, Reita Faria became the first Indian (also the first Asian) to win the Miss World contest but refused offers from glamour industry and chose to follow her childhood dream of becoming a Doctor to serve people.

Yukta Mookhey, Miss India, is crowned Miss World 1999 in London, England. Yukta had a degree in computer sciences and had spent several years training in Indian classical music. After starring in a few Bollywood movies, Mookhey chose instead to focus on social work and politics.

Manushi Chhillar is the sixth Indian to win the coveted Miss World crown, which was first won by Reita Faria back in 1966. Manushi Chillar answered all questions very beautifully and won the beauty pageant 2017...The 20-year-old from Haryana, who is a medical student, edged out top five contestants from England, France, Kenya and Mexico at the event, which saw participation from 118 countries. My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life. “All mothers sacrifice so much for their kids.
