Experience the thrilling culinary delights offered by the numerous restaurants in Phuket Town and the old quarter.

Kopitiam by Wilai

Kopitiam by Wilai is a restaurant located on Thalang Road in the heart of Phuket Town. Found in the old quarter, this particular restaurant embodies an old world charm that is scarcely found anywhere else. It is one of the best places in Phuket Town to sample steamed Phuket fish balls, shrimp cakes and other snacks. The menu of the restaurant, written in both Thai and in English, feature dishes such as pak krapow gai, which is fried chicken with basil, and phad prick thai dam which is black pepper chicken with mushrooms. Those who wish for a more familiar meal can have an all-day breakfast or even ham and cheese sandwiches.

Natural Restaurant

Located on Soi Phutorn in Phuket, the Natural Restaurant is located close to the fresh day market in Phuket as well as the Jui Tui Chinese Temple. It is known in Thai as the Tamachart Restaurant. Complete with psychedelic décor, the Tamachart Restaurant is an assault on the senses and the food that is served is truly delicious. With over two hundred options on the menu, you will certainly be spoilt for choice.

Given that the beach in Mai Khao is one of the least developed in Phuket, it still retains a natural charm that is difficult to find elsewhere. Therefore, diners will be delighted to have a meal at any one of the restaurants in Mai Khao Phuket overlooking the ocean. Those staying in Mao Khao in Phuket who yearn for some delicious seafood can opt for a meal at Sea.Fire.Salt, a restaurant located on the premises of Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas. At this restaurant, diners can enjoy slowly poached seafood such as tiger prawns, shucked oysters, scallops and mussels accompanied by a delicious citrus cocktail sauce. Diners can also opt for grilled sea bass, 'Boullion' and beef tenderloin.

The One Chun Café and Restaurant

For authentic Thai cuisine, tourists cannot go wrong with the One Chun Café and Restaurant. Found on Thepkasattri Road in the old quarter of Phuket Town, the Restaurant itself is housed in an old building that was built in the early 20th century. This particular Café and Restaurant only serves southern Thai and Sino-Thai dishes such as orange curry with shrimp, stir fired satay with pork and spicy roasted pork salad with red grapes. The café and restaurant is open from 10am to 10pm.

Mee Ton Poe Restaurant in Phuket

While the One Chun Café and Restaurant is the best place to sample authentic Sino-Thai and southern Thai dishes, the Mee Ton Poe Restaurant is the best place to try Thai noodles. The Mee Ton Poe Restaurant has a signature dish – stir-fried Hokkien mee, also known as Hokkien Noodles. This particular dish includes fried noodles mixed with seafood and pork topped with an egg and accompanied by a coconut drink. It is delicious, and must be sampled when in Phuket.
