List of Shows in Phuket - Best Entertainment at Night

Phuket offers a variety of shows for your entertainment. As the sun sets over the island, look forward to relaxing at one of the most enjoyable performances in Thailand. Listed are the best.

1

Be Mesmerized by Fantasea

This is one of the most professional performances you can catch in Thailand. The show takes place within a 140-acre park located in Kamala. The state of the art theatre boasts a seating capacity of 3,000. Look forward to a fine amalgamation of entertainment that includes traditional Thai performances conducted under state of the art stage settings. Entertainment is centred on traditional dancing, shadow puppet shows, magic shows, acrobatics, battle scenes and a variety of scenes that include tigers and elephants. The show timed to last 1 hour and 15 minutes tends to end much too soon for an audience that simply cannot get enough. Fantasea is on every day of the week, excluding Thursdays. The park is home to a variety of entertainment options such as handicraft shops and game shows, and is open from 5.30 pm onwards. The show starts at 6 pm; if you are a guest at hotels like Kata Rocks, it takes a mere 36 minutes to get there, and watching the performance is highly recommended.

2

Siam Niramit

Admired in Bangkok for many years, the Siam Niramit Show finally opened for Phuket in 2011. It is considered a visual feast of traditional Thai culture and arts, as the show consists of many sets that take the audience through various periods in the country's interesting history. Enjoy the period costumes and enthralling dances as you journey through historical events that shaped the country. There is an extravagant buffet dinner offered before the show for an extra fee; a pretty good reason to leave early for the venue from your Phuket luxury villas. Thailand and its rural attractions are well displayed at the park, featuring a mini village complete with paddy fields as well as a mini-floating market, together with replicas of typical rural homes.

3

Simon Cabaret

Simon Cabaret is one of the famous ladyboy shows of Thailand. Performed by katoeys as locals know them, or rather transvestites, the shows are full of glitz and glamour. Performers decked up in the most elegantly elaborate costumes perform popular classics of female artists. Other than for the few that have fun pantomiming females, many are classically feminine and genuinely beautiful. Enjoy the fabulous sets, state of the art sound systems, and spot of light entertainment presented there. The cabaret is held twice a day at 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm.

4

Aphrodite Cabaret

This too is a ladyboy show that started recently. It is a much grander and elaborate version of the previous; with three shows taking place daily. Thai, English, Chinese, Korean and Russian songs are performed by transvestites kitted up in some very elegant costumes. The show owes its success to the huge numbers that flock in via tour groups.

5

Phuket Stunt Show

The stunt show incorporates performances by Thais, Europeans, Australians and North Americans. The best of stunt performances are showcased at the show. Acts to look forward to are the 27 metre high dive, Samoan fire stick dances, pyrotechnics, mock fights, a pirate show and much more. Enjoy your warm balmy nights in Phuket.
