Top 5 Restaurants in Ekamai, Bangkok – Dive into the varied cuisine the city is famed for

Ekamai is known to have an enticing selection of eateries that deliver to people of varying tastes and varying budgets. But with a wide collection, it can sometimes be difficult to decide on the best.

1

The Garret Bistro Bar

Nestled in a secluded corner of the city, the bistro has interior décor that closely resembles a New York café and it serves some of the finest American comfort dishes. The bistro has an extensive menu and serves everything you would expect; be it hamburgers or an apple pie. The Garret Bistro Bar also has a great set of cocktails and a wonderful balcony that presents you with a striking view of the city and its skyline. The bistro has the added benefit of being a skip away from the many hotels and serviced apartments in Sukhumvit in the nearby area such as Somerset Ekamai Bangkok.

2

Bourbon Street Restaurant

Another restaurant that serves outstanding American cuisine, the Bourbon Street Restaurant also has a Mexican buffet on Tuesday nights. The blackened fish is a favorite among customers while the pecan pie deserves a try out too. The Bourbon Street Restaurant has been in Bangkok for decades and a visit to the institution will show you why it continues to remain a favorite. The breakfast at this place is highly recommended.

3

Fuzio

The sister restaurant to The Garret, it's extremely sophisticated dining area sets the stage for an idyllic date but be warned, it will not come cheap. Fuzio serves some of the most tantalizing Italian dishes in the city such as the crab pasta and the tiger prawn spaghetti. The price for the best dishes hovers around 1300 baht. If you are budget conscious, drop by during the lunch hours when you can get a four course lunch for five hundred and fifty bahts. As with The Garret, you still have a beautiful patio that offers a wonderful view while you feast on the dishes.

4

Hom Duan

Open only for lunch, Hom Duan is where you can find bona fide northern Thailand cuisine. Many flock to the location for the khao soi, a famed noodles dish and the pork belly curry dish that makes an excellent addition to the khao soi. HOM DUAN first started out as a family operated coffee shop but after unprecedented success, it gradually grew into a restaurant that specializes in Northern Thai cuisine.

5

Hugo Bar & Eatery

For those looking for a retro ambience the Hugo Bar & Eatery is the place to be at. Fitted with comfortable leather couches and dim lighting that grows into the surroundings, they offer a great brunch that is open from 11 AM to 5 PM. From waffles to burgers, it is safe to say the bistro has an extensive menu while the cocktail menu does not disappoint either with many rare and hard to find cocktails. Drop by during Friday and Saturday nights to experience a live music display. With a fairly immersive atmosphere, you are guaranteed to forget the fact that you are in Bangkok.
