Rob Lowe met two young women in a downtown Atlanta bar. He took them back to his hotel room, then videotaped himself and the pair having sexual relations. When Lowe went to the restroom, he found that the two girls had stolen some money and the videotape. Later, he learned that one of the girls was only 16 years old.

A string of actresses have come forward over the last week to accuse the movie mogul of sexual harassment or assault. Together, the claims build up a picture of one of the most powerful men in the industry exerting pressure on younger women at the start of their careers, often in hotel rooms and offices.

16 women have publicly accused Cosby of sexual abuse, 12 of whom have accused him of drugging them to facilitate the abuse. Some of those women may be among 13 anonymous "Jane Doe" accusers who agreed to testify against Cosby in a 2005 lawsuit that was settled out of court. Taken together, the accusations span the length of Cosby's long career in the public eye as a beloved actor and comedian, from the mid-1960s to the mid-2000's.

But she has always kept schtumm on this issue. Fleiss began her trade under Madam Alex, she worked as a prostitute for a while herself to get an insight into the industry. At that time, Madam Alex's girls were getting older and Heidi was in charge of recruiting fresh talent. By 1990, Heidi was running her very own prostitution ring. She allegedly made her first million within four months of setting up shop.

Woody did not adopt Mia Farrow's other adopted children that she became the mother of with her ex Andre Previn including Soon Yi. Farrow ditched Allen in 1992. A bitter custody battle followed with Farrow alleging Woody had molested one of their children. A major bone of contention was that Woody had started a sexual affair with Soon Yi and had photographed her naked when she was about 20. He was 56 and she was 19 when their relationship started.

Mommie Dearest is both a memoir and a subsequent film that are based on Christina Crawford's allegations against her adoptive mother Joan Crawford. Hollywood was shocked that this celebrated actress was an alleged child abuser. Christina told the world that she and her adoptive brother were only welcomed into the Crawford family for good publicity for Joanie. She proclaimed Crawford was bisexual and had a constant procession of lovers. Joan was also a drunk who physically abused her adopted children.

In March 1977, the then 43 year old genius Polish film director - Roman Polanski, became embroiled in a scandal involving a number of charges he is alleged to have perpetrated against a 13 year old girl including underage rape, plying her with drugs and sodomy. Samantha claims that Polanski fed her champagne, quaaludes, and performed oral, vaginal and anal sex upon her without her consent. Polanski admitted to having sex with the girl but claimed she was willing and responded in a positive fashion. The truth never came out in the wash because Polanski fled America, first to England and then to France where he held dual citizenship.

In June 1994, OJ's wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were found brutally slain outside OJ's condo. A warrant for his arrest was issued and this led to the infamous slow car chase between the LAPD and OJ in his white Bronco which gripped millions of TV viewers. They went on to become even more transfixed by OJ's trial in 1995. Billed as the 'Trial of the Century', the whole case was saturated in media coverage.

While in Bangkok shooting a film, the 72-year-old star,David Carradine, of the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" and Quentin Tarantino's acclaimed "Kill Bill" saga was found dead, hanging from a rope in the closet of his hotel room. Further information revealed that the rope around Carradine's neck was also connected to his genitals, suggesting that his death was the result of autoerotic asphyxiation, or the practice of constricting air supply in order to enhance a sexual experience.

During her time at MGM, Judy Garland was subjected to near endless abuse, including constant harassment from executives, including Louis B Mayer, about losing weight. This resulted in Garland starving herself and getting hooked on diet pills. Garland joined MGM when she was 13, and the studio's comments on her weight began not soon after. At age 18, Mayer pushed Garland on to a diet of black coffee, chicken soup, 80 cigarettes a day, and diet pills every four hours.
Garland lived the rest of her life with an eating disorder and drug addiction.
