First, there's some great links and comments on the ‘smarteregg’ experience here. I enjoyed reading and listening to them and felt I needed to add a small comment myself.
So here’s a small reflection on my ‘Smarteregg’ gains.
One of the really great things about travel is you get to see and experience different things. It’s not just about the location but the people you meet and who you travel with. You might not always agree or even like what you experience – but it’s all knowledge, stimulus and because you can’t unlearn, it becomes in time part of who you are. You really do gain that new perspective.
So how does this fit in to my ‘smarteregg’ experience?
Well I’ve found reading a book, or actually even performing a task, is somewhat similar. In that I can view it, do it and develop a personal stance. But discussing, sharing, to be challenged on my views, hearing details important to others that I would have glossed over and gaining those different opinions allows me to develop a better, wider grasp of the topic. I gain an experience from it, in a very unique way that I couldn’t do alone.
‘Smarteregg’ is a great travel experience :o)
