If you wake early in the morning and beat the crowds you can take a shot with just you centered in the photo, city walls on both sides.
From Dubronik you can take a cable ride to Srd Hill and capture big picture views of Old Town and the architecture beyond the city walls. The result is quiet shorelines and vast open spaces of blue and green water. Find a tree that’s hanging over the edge of the water and snap a photo between the branches.

Although a bit of a distance from the coast, the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, offer colorful floral pictures and examples of grand architecture for visitors who make the 375ish mile trip. The architecture in Zagreb is enough to support a beautiful picture but we suggest adding to the background some of the colorful flowers that are just outside of the capital building. If you add a cup of coffee you have an Instagram classic.
The setting sun is another opportunity to take out your camera. As the sun fades behind the Adriatic Sea and the lights of the city turn on, head for higher ground so that your view includes about half ocean and half city. The dots of city lights against the little bit of orange left in the sky makes for a beautiful photo but an even more beautiful memory.
