Best things to do in Bali with Kids - find the perfect setting for your next family vacation

A trip to Bali with kids can be loads of fun, with so many entertainment options available to suit families. Here are some of the best things to do in Bali with kids.

1

Bali Safari and Marine Park

The Bali Safari and Marine Park is actually an open-aired zoo which covers over 40 hectares of land, and is home to around 60 species, all of whom roam free in large natural enclosures. The safari tours are extremely popular and not just with kids either. Climb aboard the special caged tram and tour through each enclosure, where you will get up close to majestic elephants, regal tigers, and mischievous baby orangutans, among many more creatures, before finally ending the tour at the aquarium to view sharks. In addition, the park also holds night safaris for the more adventurous. Bring an extra set of clothes and end your day out with a cool dip at the adjoining water park.

Banana boat rides

You can't take your kids to Bali and not spend time on the beach! Bali provides plenty of fun beach activities for children of all ages, and riding a banana boat is probably one of the favourites. Gather the whole family, and hop on a bright yellow, banana boat for an exciting ride just off the coast. The inflatables can carry up to 6 people at once, depending on the size, and the fast paced ride is safe enough for small children. Older children can choose a more fun rodeo styled ride which includes plenty of sharp twists and turns.

3

Bali Treetop Adventure Park

View the beauty off the island from a whole new perspective at the Bali Treetop Adventure Park. Situated in the central highland's, adults and kids alike will love time spent here, as they whiz over the canopy on a 160 meter long zip-line, spread across 7 circuit courses. Each circuit covers a wide area, and is divided by skill level. Younger children will enjoy the suspended bridges and spider nets, while the older kids can test their agility on the tight rope courses.

4

Waterbom Bali Park

Located in the famous Kuta enclave, near several family-friendly resorts and service apartments in Bali, Waterbom Bali Park is located in close proximity to properties such as Citadines Kuta Beach Bali. The park is the leading water park on the island, and boasts 17 exhilarating slides and water games for all ages. Covering nearly 4 hectares of water slides, tropical gardens and pools along with a wide array of dining options and leisure facilities. The water slides consist of easy-going mini slides and relaxing pools, to the more adrenaline-pumping slides that start from towering heights.

5

Ayung River Rafting

The central highlands are best known for its rice fields, lush mountain ranges and forests, but the valley of the Ayung River has a lot more to offer than just eye-catching scenery. The Ayung Rive provides the best white water rafting experience in Bali, with several routes for varying skill levels that include both challenging and mild rapids. However, due to safety concerns, only children above 7 years of age are allowed on a raft.
