If you're planning a holiday to Phuket with the whole family, here are a bunch of fun activities to do, so that your kids (and the adults too of course) can have plenty of fun.
First things first - when you're looking for accommodation in Thailand, you should always make sure they are family friendly, as some resorts aren't and cater solely to couples! If your Phuket family resort has a kid's club on site like The Turtle Club in Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas, then you're good to go! Kids clubs are designed to keep the little ones entertained and busy for as long as you want; allowing the adults plenty of time to enjoy spa sessions or go diving. Rest assured that your kids will be looked after well and will not even notice your absence as there'll be plenty of things to do from arts and crafts to watching movies and other engaging activities.
There's no kid in the entire world that won't have fun at a water park! The Splash Jungle Waterpark spans across 6,400 sqm on the Mai Khao Beach offering numerous attractions from the Boomerango, Lazy River, wave pool and smaller slides and pools for the little ones! The park is open from 10 am to 6 pm. For a bite to eat, stop at the Coconut Café and enjoy a range of cuisines from hot dogs to Thai dishes.
The Phuket Wake Park is located in close proximity to Kathu Waterfall and is one of the most challenging yet adrenaline pumping activities to partake in while in Phuket. This is great for adults and older kids. You'll be held by two cables as you wake-board along the refreshing waters of the lake. The park is open from 7:30 am to 11 pm and you can enjoy rides that last from 2 hours to a whole day!
Located in the heart of Phuket, 50 FLY! is a large indoor trampoline park which also features a climbing wall. Kids and adults can enjoy jumping and practising various moves while mid-air, from gymnastics to parkour. 50FLY! is open from 9 am to 9 pm and can be found at Big C Supercenter.
From Phuket city, head towards Kalim Beach and partake in this fun activity known as Zorbing at Rollerball. Once you get inside the zorb – a giant plastic ball that measures about 3 meters in diameter, you'll be rolled down 190 m high hill. Doesn't that sound exciting?! Don't worry though, these zorbs are pretty safe. It's best if you carry extra clothes or swimwear, as the inner area of the ball is filled with approximately 40 litres of water. Try Zorbing at Rollerball from 10 am to 6 pm.
Patong Go-Kart Speedway is a great place to head to with the entire family. Open from 10 am to 7 pm, you can race down a 750m long race track with your kids. There are 4 types of karts to suit people of varying ages and to accommodate passengers – if your kids are too young to get behind the wheel.
