Siam isn't just an ideal place to go shopping, it's also the place to dance the night away! Here's a list of the places you should definitely hit up as you paint the town red!
Heaven Bangkok, located on the 17th to 20th floors of the Central World Shopping Mall, is a delightful way to start the night off. Heaven Bangkok consists of three rooftop restaurant/bars – namely, Horizons Gastronomy and Mixology, Zense Gourmet Deck and Lounge and Shintori Japanese Art Cuisine – that offer delicious, creative cocktails, conceptual dining, containing both international and local cuisines, and some of the most gorgeous Bangkok city views! The bars can be accessed via elevators in the Zen Department store of Central World and are open from 05.30pm to 01:00am every day of the week.
Another rooftop bar and restaurant located in Central World! This particular rooftop spot boasts impressive 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding city from the 55th floor of Centara Grand, Central World. The most unique characteristic of Red Sky is its colossal arch, which constantly changes colours and makes for a rather mesmerizing backdrop – the light radiating from the arch adds a certain romance to the evening. Red Sky has an extensive cocktail and wine list and offers some exquisite European cuisine. The food is a little pricey, but still delicious! If you're a movie trivia nut, you'll be interested to learn that Red Sky Rooftop bar was actually featured in the movie 'The Hangover Part II'! Red Sky is open from 05:00 pm to 01:00 am.
Mixx nightclub opened its doors in 2010 and has since become Siam's go to place for after-hours parties. Mixx has two separate rooms, one room plays hip hop and party pop music while the other plays more intense trance and progressive house music, and so you can choose which room to go to, based on your music preference. Entry tickets cost 350 baht and include a free drink! The nightclub opens around 09:00pm and carries on until around 06:00am depending on the size and feel of the crowd. There's a fantastic roll call of International and local DJs so you can be assured that the music is always good! Mixx is walking distance from several hotels such as Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, so it's quite conveniently placed. It is also a 5-minute walk from the Chit Lom BTS station as well as several bus stops, so you are sure to have transport back to your hotel even at odd hours (Bangkok night buses run 24 hrs a day but skytrains usually only run between 06:00am and 11:30pm).
Bangkok's own outlet of the world-famous Hard Rock Café is located in Siam Square, where many a luxury hotel in Bangkok is situated. It's a place that offers a bit of familiarity to the weary traveller and provides the same mouthwatering, intensely satisfying burgers, wonderful staff and lively fun and entertainment, as does every other branch across the world! The café is open from 11:30am to 01:00am every day. A stage, which comes alive around 09:30pm, stands to face the entrance with live performances from reputed bands singing covers of beloved anthems that always gets the crowd singing and dancing.
Spasso is a beloved bar, club and restaurant that has long entertained both locals and tourists alike with live music and fantastic cocktails. The atmosphere is always laid back with a lively and entertaining crowd who add to the character and spirit of the club. There's some great food, including fresh, oven-baked pizzas (which complements the bars Italian concept design), as well as, delicious cocktails and wines. Spasso is open from 06:00pm to 02:30am every day and is located near Ratchadamri Junction. Spasso nightclub and restaurant is hailed as one of Bangkok's fanciest nightlife venues and you can always expect a good time there!
