The archipelago nation of Maldives has a proud heritage that spans as far back as 2500 years. Take a culture trip and discover some of its heritage sites. First up is the Old Friday Mosque or the Hukuru Miskiiy, that is the most ornate and oldest mosques in the city of Malé. The mosque is built out of coral stone and features many elaborate carvings.
Next up, visit the Mulee-aage Palace which was once the royal residence of a sheikh but is now used as the official presidential residence. Then visit the National Musuem of Malé and discover the remnants of the glorious past consisting of weapons, pottery, coinage...etc.
