Water Sports in Nusa Dua - Making the Best of Your Beach Vacation!

The best water sport activities in Nusa Dua are for those looking for something beyond splashing on the shore - here; adrenaline junkies get their fix from hair-raising, high speed action.

1

Jet Packs

An amazing and unforgettable experience, these awesome jet packs are created to channel the force of water to thrust you up to 10 metres high above the water. You can find quite a few tour operators that organise it, and the entire process is easier than it looks. After an instructor briefs you on how to use the jet pack as well as safety, the packs are strapped on, and you start flying as soon as you're ready. The jet packs allows you to be pushed straight up, or toward any direction you like.

2

Parasailing

Parasailing successfully combines the exhilaration of a high-speed activity with an altitude that offers panoramic views over the ocean and palm fringed beaches. And unlike either diving or surfing, you don't need experience or any kind of training to have a go at it. There are two methods of parasailing, depending on the instructor and his equipment. One way if to be harnessed to a 4-wheel vehicle and pulled along the beach, or harnessed to a boat that will pull you along the coast line. Both ways are equally fun, and some operators will allow groups of up to 3 people to be attached to a harness. The entire session can last between 15 to 30 minutes, and it's extremely rewarding, and a definite must try.

3

Snorkelling

The easiest and most relaxing way to enjoy the waters off Bali, snorkelling offers up the opportunity to discover the beautiful coral reefs and vibrant marine life, without the hassle of diving equipment or experience needed. Because of its popularity, most resorts along the coast have snorkelling among their water sport activities, such as the Westin Resort Nusa Dua, which is adjacent to Bali International Convention Centre. The sea around Nusa Dua is perfect for snorkeling thanks to the calm waters, and most snorkelling sites can be easily reached.

4

Wake boarding

Nusa Dua is one of the best places to see in Bali for wakeboarding, and thanks to the state-of-the-art Bali Wake Park, you don't even need to go to the beach to try it. Located just 10 minutes from town, the Bali Wake Park is celebrated for its amazingly realistic wake boarding sessions. The park uses a cable system to create natural waves which allows you to try not just wave boarding, but a number of other water sports as well. In addition, there also a children's activity programme for ages six and above.

5

Banana boat rides

You can't go to Bali and not jump on a banana boat ride. A family favourite for all ages, the yellow inflatables whizz around off the coast, providing plenty of fun and splashes along the way. Depending on the size, each boat can carry up to 6 people, and older kids and adults can opt for a rodeo style ride which includes lots of twists.
