I’ll be totally honest with you; it’s going to be hard for me to write this without sounding biased, because I absolutely hate New Delhi. You will probably get robbed there. But hey, is that such a bad thing? Many people only really see Delhi as a stopover point to destinations further afield, but there’s so much more to this heritage city than that. I thought I’d break the ‘stopover’ typecast that’s been given to the city and share with you a few reasons why I reason you’ll fall in love with it too.

The Imperial, New Delhi has set aside a 12-room wing specifically for single women, located on the quiet third floor. The hotel has boosted security arrangements for those rooms and equipped them with special feminine touches like manicure sets, cosmetics, flowers and women’s-sized bathrobes, and outfitted the spaces with lots of pink. Staff servicing the rooms, from room service delivery to butlers, are all female.
