5 Things to Know About Pattaya – An Eye Opening Guide to Pattaya

In the summertime when the weather is hot, you should definitely visit Pattaya, located on the east coast of Thailand. Here are 5 things you should know before going.

1

Family friendly

Despite what you've heard or read on the internet, Pattaya has plenty to offer tourists; more than what it's currently gaining a reputation for! Family friendly activities are quite numerous in Pattaya if you did your research. Places like 2Sky Pattaya – Rocket Ball, Scuba Dawgs, Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Tracks N Tails Pattaya and the Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Gardens are some of the more popular places to head to with your family. If you'd rather stay indoors, pick a Pattaya beach resort that has a kids club such as AVANI Pattaya Resort & Spa, that way your kids can have fun playing games or making arts and crafts while you enjoy a day at the spa! Depending on your resort, you can also select a variety of excursions and resort activities that will keep the whole gang entertained.

2

The Buddha Hill

The highest point in Pattaya, the Buddha Hill can be visited during your holiday. With no entrance fee, unlike most popular tourist attractions in Thailand, this is the best place to get a breathtaking unhindered view of the city. The 18 meter gold seated Buddha statues dominates the hill and overlooks the busy city. Wat Phra Yai as it is locally known is perched at the summit of Pratamnak Hill. The statue was erected in 1977 and goes by the name of Phra Buddha Sukhothai Walai Chonlathan

Museums and Galleries

Some of the other 'out of the ordinary' museums are the Bottle Art Museum, a Teddy Bear Museum, Tuxedo Magic Theatre and even a miniature version of Siam. If you're looking for the best places to take your Instagram pictures, Art in Paradise Pattaya is a good option as the entire gallery consists of 3D paintings!

Cabaret anyone?

There's nothing like fancy cabaret performances which not only are a great display of local culture, dance and theatrics, but cabarets can be quite entertaining and fun to be a part of. Tiffany's Cabaret and Alcazar Cabaret are two of the most noted and popular cabarets in Pattaya.
