Some ways you can use the World Threat Directory (WTD)

WTD is a user ran threat map that allows regular citizens, Law Enforcement and others to share information on criminal activities, local dangers and more. As a free service for the Global Community it aims to drastically reduce crime and save lives.

1

Add a Crime

Add a Crime

All users have the ability to add a crime that has occurred and link it to the location that it happened. This populates to the map where everyone else will then be able to view it along with the details provided.

This is extremely handy for individuals living or traveling through the area as it allows them to visually see the more dangerous areas of the community, as well as understand what types of crime are prevalent.

2

Add a Suspicous Activity

Users have the ability to document suspicious activity in their local communities. This is extremely useful in helping others to mitigate their risk of becoming a victim as well as shining a spotlight on the criminals.

Take for instance a local gang hangout. This in and of itself is not illegal, however as a citizen it is ideal to know where these dangerous areas are. The Suspicious Activity listing allows you to share this information.

Another great benefit of populating suspicious activities in the directory is that it alerts the local police to the situation which can help them better protect the community.

3

Add a Warning

The ability to add a warning helps spread awareness about potential threats, scams, and current trends. This can be used in many ways.

One of the primary functions of this listing is that it can alert parents to potential dangers and trends their kids may be exposed to that they should talk with them about.

A good example of a warning listing would be the 'Blue Whale Challenge'.
The Blue Whale Challenge is an internet based challenge that targets teens and others to take on a 40 day challenge with increasingly destructive risks. The final challenge for the participant is suicide. This challenge is attributed to multiple deaths across the globe.

4

Add a Criminal Group (Profile)

The WTD has three separate map views. Crimes, Criminal Groups, BioHazards. The Criminal Groups provides information on specific groups in the area. This can be populated by both law enforcement and everyday citizens and can be very useful to those living or operating around dangerous groups.

Criminal Groups could come in the form of a local gang, terrorist organization, cartel, and others.

This listing ability can provide invaluable information as well to counter-terror agencies.
A good example would be a local citizen sharing information on where a terrorist cell is operating, who they are targeting, and the methodologies they are using. By collectively gathering the citizens' information the WTD can deal a heavy blow against such organizations.

5

Add a BioHazard

The BioHazard function of the directory is primarily aimed at helping contain the spread of infectious disease. While the term biohazard often brings to mind Hollywood style outbreaks the reality is that most infectious disease are much less dramatic, however still have the ability to kill the host.

By populating the WTD with contagious outbreaks as soon as they happen this can drastically decrease the spread by alerting the local community. Everything from the seasonal Flu to Ebola can be populated.

The directory allows viewers to sort between verified (populated by official medical staff) and unverified (reported by citizen).
