05 Must Visit Locations of Bali for a Complete Vacation – Travel the Land

Bali is now a hot destination for sun worshipers. A land of immense beauty, culture and age old traditions the nation has specific destinations one must visit for the best experience.

1

Canggu

Canggu is a beautiful little town that's fast growing in popularity. The place is just 30 minutes from the popular resort of Seminyak and easy to access from Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort. The place is laid back with few streets and plenty of little restaurants and cafes to spend some time at. Explore the popular Deus Temple of Enthusiasm and spend loads of time on the beach; there you can swim, surf and chill. The place is ideal for a day trip from your Seminyak beach resort for those rather stylishly laid back evenings of good coffee and relaxed vibes.

2

Bukit

A rather quiet and no nonsense type peninsula located in the south of Bali, Bukit also called Bingin or Uluwatu is home to stunning scenery hardly matched anywhere else on the island. Head over to the beach find your spot in the shade and get cosy with a good book. Bukit Peninsula certainly deserves a good scout and will not disappoint in terms of ideal locations and stunning surroundings. Surfers are well rewarded with excellent reef breaks where like in Seminyak you are treated to plenty of action on the waves.

3

Ubud

Ubud is the cultural capital of Bali. A land of terraced rice fields, holistic eateries and art to soothe the soul of any ardent culture buff. Travel to Ubud for the yoga and utterly delicious vegan delights that will have you hankering for more and no! You do not need to be a vegan to enjoy these meals. Hike across the paddy fields, visit the sacred monkey forest and explore the city centre home to the art market and ancient royal abode. The best place for souvenirs, art and local artefacts Ubud is in all essence the soul of Bali.

4

Gili Islands

The Gili Islands by far are the most entertaining of all Bali tourist resorts. Enjoy the crystal clear waters and beautiful surroundings as you explore the three islands. Party central Gili T never sleeps; the largest and most popular amongst tourist. Gili Air promises more laid back settings with thrills of snorkelling coupled with plenty of free time curled up with a book on the beach. If it's total seclusion and serene surroundings you crave head over to Gili Meno where tranquil settings and fewer crowds are highly conducive for relaxing mind body and soul.

Visit Tanah Lot

Known as the Island of Gods Bali is not short on temples; however, it must be said that planning a visit to Tanah Lot is highly recommended. A picture postcard view and iconic attraction recognised across the globe as 'Bali' this temple sits on an offshore outcrop of rocks. Constantly bombarded by crashing waves the temple was set up by a Hindu priest to act as a guardian for the island. Located in the village of Beraban the Tanah Lot promises one of the islands most stunning sunsets.
