List of Unique Dining Places in Wanchai – A City Known for its Fabulous Cuisine

Wanchai is well known for its cuisine. From dining at lovely roadside tea kiosks offering dim sum and steaming hot tea to Chines favourites cooked by the 'Demon Chef;' choices are endless.

1

22 Ships

Creative and contemporary; this lovely tapas bar is the brainchild of celebrity chef Jason Atherton who promises one a fun dining adventure. The well thought of menu has mouth-watering delights such as fois gras mini burghers, Iberico burghers and best of all toasted chunks of bread loaded with ham, gooey Manchego cheese and truffles. Excellent sangrias and Sherry are on the card too at this open kitchen venue which by the way only seats 38 guests; so get there early in order to snag a table.

2

Bo Innovation

Home of the self-anointed 'Demon Chef' Alvin Leung; Bo Innovation is home to an 'extreme' Chinese-themed menu. You will recognise the chef immediately from the demon chef moniker tattooed on his arm. Skillfully applying Japanese, French and even molecular gastronomy to his traditional Cantonese dishes this chef has created a range in the field of alternate Chinese cookery. Sure winners are the beef and black truffle steamed rice roll and xiao lung bao which is a dumpling soup. Make sure to book your table in advance as Fridays and weekends are extremely busy days for Bo Innovation.

3

Capital Café

If you like retro settings this is the place to head to; located not too far from your Wan Chai hotel on Heard Street. Capital Café is, in fact, a five-minute walk for guests at Dorsett Wanchai Hong Kong and should not be missed for its exclusive settings and delicious meals. The décor reflects the 80s and 90s styles and consists of autographed posters of pop idols from the period. The food too is retro with favourites such as barbequed pork served with elbow macaroni, toasted bread with oodles of creamy scrambled egg and delicious milk tea being offered.

4

Che's Cantonese Restaurant

A casual yet elegant restaurant for the delicious dim sum, Che's Cantonese Restaurant is tipped to be the best. The mouth-watering range includes Che's crispy pork buns, pan fried turnip cake as well as sweet delights such as cold pomelo and sago with mango juice.

5

DiVino Patio

Located along the harbour in an area denoted as Brim 28, DiVino Patio is a lovely little Italian eatery. The laid back ambience is accentuated with the lovely grocery style setting within; there one can purchase gourmet salami's, Italian cheeses and various condiments. Apart for these on the go eats one can sit in the restaurant and enjoy a delicious variety of dishes such as hand tossed pizza, spit roasted Vallespuga game hen as well as a fabulous lunchtime buffet spread.
