Corbett Tiger Reserve today holds possibly the second largest population of free living tigers in the world. The reserve is thus one of the last remaining areas, which covers a potentially feasible population of this magnificent and decisively endangered field. Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, Corbett Uttarakhand has the beauty of being India’s oldest and most prominent National Park. It is also being pleased as the place where Project Tiger was first launched in 1973. This sole tiger territory is best known as the father who gave birth of the Project Tiger in India to guard the most endangered species and the Royal of India called Tigers. If you love bird watching, Corbett is sanctuary for such tourists. Corbett and its adjoining areas area home to more than 650 species of inhabitants and wandering birds.
