This restaurant is not for the squeamish and certainly not a place to judge your food on looks alone.

Food is served in none other than a toilet while seats are porcelain bowls and tables are sinks. The menu boasts items such as beef curry and Korean hot pot kimchee served in western style miniature toilets while swirls of ice cream for dessert come in little squatting pan style bowls.

Judging by the places success toilet dining is quite a craze and does not seem to deter patrons from walking through the door.

And although it may not be on the list of restaurants with family meals to go, this eatery deserves to be listed and reviewed on family travel sites; for after all what better way to get fussy kids to eat than notching up the crazy and gross dining factor. 😯

Fans of martial arts and lovers of action will definitely enjoy a meal at this New York restaurant.

True to its name the Japanese restaurant Ninja offers waiters dressed as Ninjas to serve customers. Surreptitiously dropping down from the ceiling the servers only enhance the ambience of the place designed to look like a Japanese mountain village eatery.

A long maze must be navigated to get to the dining room which acts as a prelude to the adventure accompanying your delicious meal. βš”οΈπŸ›‘

This is a very controversial restaurant that blatantly popularises the effects of fast food and its results.

The menu is quite an eye opener listing high-fat items such as Flat Liner Fries deep fried in lard, the 8000 calorie Quadruple Bypass Burger and Butterfat Shake

Customers are referred to as 'patients' while the orders are 'prescriptions' and of course setting the ambience just right are the scantily clad nurses aka waitresses. And if you are a customer that weighs over 350 pounds, your meal is free!

Here is a family friendly restaurant that sports bunny tails on its chairs and a Mad Hatter Tea Party Room.

Kids will definitely love the place which is similar to those reviewed on The Family Travel Blog. Here the menu is a mix of Alice themed delights with appetisers served on chessboards and pizza slices that look like playing cards.

Cabbages and Condoms - Bangkok

Yes, it is a bizarre name but there is moral and good cause to this restaurant. Aimed at popularising family planning and creating better HIV Aids awareness the eatery located in Bangkok, Thailand offers its proceeds to the Population and Community Development Association.

Enjoy the quirky dΓ©cor of the place sporting light fixtures decorated with condoms and a payoff line that states 'Our Food is Guaranteed Not to Cause Pregnancy'.

The menu is of course far from strange and boasts some of the best Thai dishes such as hot and sweet roasted duck with coconut.
