Nightlife in Sathorn – After Dusk Venues in Sathorn

Thailand's Sathorn district is a vibrant metropolitan landscape, and is a fascinating place with many temples as well as intriguing architectural edifices.

1

Park Society

For a place where you can literally wine and dine in a cosy and effervescent atmosphere there's park society. There's an elegant French restaurant by the same name, and if you're fancying a drink in a stunning rooftop location there's the upstairs deck known as Hi So, which stands for high society. You can observe breathtaking views of attractions such as Lumphini Park from a comfortable selection of sofas and cabanas with ambient lighting. Park Society is even open during the daytime.

2

ZOOM Sky Bar and Restaurant

Situated within the Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel this is definitely one of the bit more higher-end bars in Silcom. The ZOOM Sky Bar and Restaurant has an eclectic setting and in addition to expertly executed cocktails, there's a range of fine cuisine to be had. To top it all off, the venue's open rooftop boasts spectacular 360 degree views that will keep you mesmerised for hours on end, and would be an ideal setting for a romantic rendezvous with a special someone. This happens to be one of the few rooftop bars in Sathorn that offers views of the Chao Phraya River.

3

Lady Brett Tavern

If you're looking for a change of pace from the usual glitzy locales, then this is definitely a place worth checking out. This unique bistro has a 1920s New York setting, complete with timbered walls and a classic speakeasy vibe. Despite being a new addition to the Sathorn bar scene, the Lady Brett Tavern has become a very popular hangout spot. The mixologists at the tavern have invented a range of popular drinks such as the Kryptonite which has raspberry, lemon and bourbon topped off with liquorice foam. There's also a range of critically acclaimed meals to be had.

4

The Moon Bar

Out of the various rooftop bars in Bangkok, this is one that truly stands out. The entire setting is themed with garden-like ambience featuring a range of seating options encompassing bar-stools, comfortable tables and even long divans. Although the cocktails seem pricey, they are known to be expertly mixed and are served with a variety of snacks such as cashews, chips and wasabi peas. The selection of beverages is also extensive and features something for everyone.

5

Wong's Palace

This is a legendary institution in Bangkok and is shrouded in intrigue and history. This establishment was one of the most famous locales in Bangkok during the backpacker days where anyone and everyone would gather here. It is one of the few places that will remain open when everywhere else has close down. In fact, Wong's Palace only opens up at midnight. Most people these days patronise Wong's Palace not for the drinks but for the experience, such as Sam Wong himself regaling customers with tales of the old days while tunes from the 80s are played through a VCR.
