Best Krabi Shopping Spots - Make the Most of Your Krabi Trip with Great Shopping

You can't visit Krabi and not go shopping! This area has enough shopping options to keep everyone happy, whatever your taste. Check out some of best shopping opportunities in Krabi in our list below.

1

Krabi Town Walking Street

Possibly the most essential shopping event in Krabi Town. This walking street takes place every Friday to Sunday, and has around 50 stalls selling a wide range of items and street food. The crowds here are quite large considering the small size of the street. If you're a bit confused about the name, you wouldn't be the first. Walking street in Thailand actually refers to a type of outdoor market, as opposed to just a street where you walk. So if you hear the term walking street, you know you are close to a market.

2

Ao Nang's Catalunya Walking Street

First opened in 2007, the Catalunya Walking Street is actually a bazaar-like shopping complex, in which you can find everything from art galleries, restaurants, bars, banks and even the odd tailor. It is mishmash of vintage and contemporary shops and restaurants that draws a lively crowd. This is also a great place to check out local Thai painters who exhibit many of their works in the galleries.

3

Chock Dee Handmade Silver & Gold Jewelry

A celebrated boutique in Ao Nang - Chock Dee Handmade Silver & Gold Jewelry is located near Ao Nang beachfront, and offers customers a wide variety of elegant and unique jewellery designs. The bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and more, are all one of a kind, hand made creations that include precious and semi-precious gems, and other materials like marble, gold, silver and stone. Custom made orders are also undertaken, so unless you are ordering something quite large or intricate, you can make your order and head back to whichever Krabi resort in Thailand you are staying at, like the Anantara Si Kao Resort, and come back in a few days to pick up your designs. Because of the uniqueness and high quality of these jewels, the prices can be quite high, but worth it.

4

Railay Beach Shopping

Moving away from the noisy crowds and settling in to a more relaxed beach vibe is Railey. While not as big as the other walking streets, it still manages to attract quite a few ernest shoppers looking for bargains. Railay has two walking streets - east and west. The west street is probably the more glamorous version with a beautiful locations, more stores and upmarket eateries. Railay East however, with its mangroves, fishing boats and mud flats is dramatically more humble, but its vendors have offer bigger bargains and more unique paraphernalia, perfect for souvenirs.

5

Nopparat Thara Plaza

A modern shopping plaza which offers some cool shopping opportunities in an otherwise peaceful area. The plaza has about 20 shops and restaurants, along with a large food court, all set in an open compound, surrounded by trees and carp pond. The ambiance here is more down to earth, and almost like you stumbled into a small community centre.
