No trip to the Middle East is complete if you don't sink your toes in to the soft (albeit burning) desert sands, even if it's just for a short period! Surprisnginly, though one would expect to find the desert in their backyard, this is not often true as most of the Emirates have been turning their landscapes green in the last few years. Travel a few kilometres out of the city, and you'll find yourself in the most naturally beautiful places in the world. The Arabian Desert is a sight on its own, brave the heat and take in the surrounding views. If you can't get enough of the desert in Abu Dhabi, resort options are quite numbered, some of which are located in the heart of the golden dunes, such as Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, to give you a true Arabian experience. While you're here, try out a desert safari!
