Kaatru Veliyidai

Yes, the great Mani Ratnam falters too at times. Kaatru Veliyidai looked like it had everything, a genius director, an incredible musician, a fresh and beautiful looking cast, but this was not enough. The characters VC and Leela played by Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari failed to amaze the audience.

1971 Beyond Borders

Directed by Major Ravi, 1971 Beyond Borders is a film based on true events and as the title suggests, on the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Even though the film has the incredible Mohanlal in double role, he could not stop this film from sinking. This is one of the five south Indian movies that did not impress the audience.
