Students will identify characteristics of leadership by researching the lives of great American leaders. Students will compose a list of leadership information from a variety of sources. Students will then discuss a leaderships traits and use information gathered to support their opinions.
Students will become more efficient in digital literacy by gaining a better understanding of how to narrow their search using keywords. Students will learn strategies to refine their searches and compare results using the strategies and not using them.
This STEM lesson allows students to be an ESPN reporter. Students will use what they know and newly learned about STEM subjects and apply them to ESPN reporting. Students will be required to compose an introduction and broadcast in writing as well as in a video recording.
In this lesson plan, students use BrainPOP Jr. resources to identify effective coping strategies for dealing with anger. Students will then practice utilizing anger management strategies in real-life situations. This will allow them to prepare for situations in which they need to appropriately express their emotions effectively.
Students will learn what an entrepreneur is. They will learn about specific entrepreneurs and identify common characteristics they share. Students will be able to learn skills and strategies to becoming financially successful.
Students will learn that being a global citizen is important in taking action to help and better their community. Students will learn that responsibility for themselves and their actions and how to be a good example for others.
Students will learn how to solve problems using a technique called the iterative process. Students will use brainstorming and idea testing skills to learn to solve problems.
Students will learn team working skills through a recess like activity. Students will be able to apply the skills gained to their life and other situations like it, including conflict resolution.
