Beautiful Bali is undoubtedly a dream destination for travellers, especially beach lovers. So, if you're one of the lucky souls visiting Bali, here are some chilled down activities to try out!

Bike Around the Rice Fields

Ubud in the central highlands of Bali is famous for its iconic rice paddy fields. Exploring these should be one of the foremost things a traveller visiting Bali should do, so how about taking a bike ride through them? You can hire a bike at one of those small bike rentals in the town, and trust your instincts or Google maps to lead you through the trails. Or you could play it safe and sign up for a bike tour and let the experts guide you. There are some hotels in Bali that offer cycling tours among their facilities. The one at the Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort, for example, feature a 40 km tour through lush paddy fields, traditional Balinese villages and even includes a breakfast at the top of a mountain!

Visit Bali Butterfly Park

Head over to the Bali Butterfly Park located in Wanasari, to witness the colourful world of one of the most beautiful of creatures. With stunning surroundings, the Bali Butterfly Park features a nursery where new butterflies hatch every day. You can see the different stages of the butterflies' life in remarkable displays here. In addition to the butterflies, the park is also home to other insects like the Rhinoceros beetle, leaf insects, scorpions and a special type of spider that coloured purple!

Explore Balinese Temples

For a little island of only 5,780 kmĀ², Bali sure does have a lot of temples, over 20,000 in total. Though visiting each and every one of these is not necessary, there are some temples that are totally worth travelling to. One of these is the Tamun Ayun temple that's been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then there's Tanah Lot, the Uluwatu Temple, Goa Gajah, Besakih and the Ulun Danu Beratan temples as well.

Visit the Beach In Seminyak

And finally, what better way to chill down than hit the beach?! Bali is known for its many beautiful beaches, and one of the best of these is Seminyak, located in the south of the island. So, check into one of the many Seminyak resorts and start exploring all that the beautiful beach resort town has to offer. Water sports is one of these and you try out a range of these from snorkelling to diving, jet skiing and surfing.
