The millennia-old terracotta army and the rich oriental architecture of Xian are not the only reasons to visit this Chinese city. These malls provide for the best shopping experience in the city.
This exclusive mall is in the Bell and Drum tower square. There are over 60 premium brand outlets inside. These brands include Burberry, Dio, Lacoste, Estee Lauder and much more. The ground floor and outdoor areas are complete with a few eateries and coffee shops. Expect to spend a considerable amount of time and money here.
This one is down Keji Road. It is one of the modern shopping malls to adorn the Xian skyline. It also happens to be one of the largest in the city. The clothing and accessory stores here are mostly up-street and premium. There are also electronics and jewellery stores here.
The Wangzuo International Shopping Mall is in the Wangzuo international city in Xian. Walk outside Golden Eagle and down the Keji Road. You will find this shopping complex at the junction where Keji Road intercepts Tangye Road. The mall is dominated by famous up-street brands like BLANK5 SPACE and Pinko.
Although this might not have the enigma of a shopping complex with a Mandarin name, this Walmart store in the city attracts a lot of locals because of the convenience it offers. Everything is reasonably priced. So, if you are on a strict budget, this is the place to go. The products are locally sourced and of good quality.
Printemps is a department store near the northern gates of Xian. It is on the border of the Changan Square. The typical customers here are wealthy locals. Premium fashion brands such as Givenchy, Gucci and Chloe, dominate the sales here. If you want to pamper yourself after a long flight in, this is the place to go.
SAGA is the largest of Xian's shopping malls. Some of the occupants here are Armani, Tommy Hilfiger and VGO. SAGA is a landmark of the Yanta district in Sian. Even if the prices are premium, SAGA is a nice place to walk around with your favourite snack in hand.
Zhongda has Xian's elite and wealthy tourists in mind, with the brands they house. It was named the most luxurious shopping mall in the province. The location within a stone's throw from hotels in Xi an and serviced apartments like Citadines Xingqing Palace Xian, the proximity to the largest park in Xian are some of the reasons for the uniqueness of this mall.
Parkson is one of the older shopping malls in Xian. You can come here to buy your daily necessities. There are separate sections for clothes, music, stationary, household appliances and electronics. Also, there is a supermarket for your grocery shopping. Everything is reasonably priced here.
Minsheng is one of the largest malls in Xian. It is well known for the variety of items on offer. It is one of the favourites among locals. There are a few food markets that sell exotic food items. This should definitely be on your list of places to check out.
