Krabi undoubtedly is Thailand's most stunning precinct. The scenery is simply mind blowing and ideal for relaxing and enjoying the white sand beaches. As listed below attractions too are varied.
This is the most beautiful beach in Thailand. It is only accessible by boat as cliffs cut off access from the mainland. The place boasts beautiful limestone cliffs, magical white sand beaches and breath-taking scenery. Not having access from the mainland means Railey Island is free from cars; the only transport is via long tail boats while the serene ambience is enhanced with the presence of sunny bars where one can chill out and relax. No place is better for that holistic castaway feel in paradise.
Around Krabi there are over 200 islands. These consist of larger inhabited islands, little rocky islets and the uninhabited havens offering unspoilt surroundings. Most visitors opt to rent a boat from Krabi Town or Ao Nang in order to explore the islands individually; if you are not confident of your sailing skills consider hiring a guide with the boat. Either way this activity is highly recommended in order to relish the stunning beauty surrounding Krabi. November to April would be ideal for some island hopping as the weather remains fairly stable.
This park is surrounded by stunningly beautiful environs that harbour exotic plants and animals. The highlight here is the Emerald Pool also called Crystal Lagoon where swimming is an entirely different pleasure due to the warm and crystal clear waters. Admire the exotic waterfall and keep a look out for the Pitta Gurney bird which although declared extinct has been spotted within this park.
Easily reached from the Anantara Si Kao Resort the magical Emerald Cave is located on the west coast of Koh Mook Island. The only way to access this enchanting paradise is to swim to or take a long tail boat to the island at low tide. From there you wade through the cave single file behind the guide while holding onto a rope. Although the experience comes across as startling you are well rewarded for outside the cave is a gorgeous lagoon surrounded by exotic tropical plants and a white sand beach; these offer the illusion of being transported to a different time and place. Koh Mook Island is close to beautiful Changlang Beach which in turn is home to some of the best family resorts Krabi offers access to via long tail boat - Quite an adventure for those of you craving an exotic entry to the island.
A definite must visit Wat Tham Sua is a natural wonder; it is part of a network of caves located in a jungle; there monks live and worship according to the teachings of Lord Buddha. The ancient caves and temple are home to vintage relics, amongst which the greatest attraction is the footprint of the Buddha. You need to climb 1237 steps to reach the temple; an effort that's well rewarded with stunning sights.
This is no new attraction as Phi Phi Islands were made famous as location to the Leonardo Di Caprio movie – The Beach. A 45 minute speed boat ride from the Krabi mainland will take you to the 2 islands home to stunning beaches and turquoise blue waters.
Located within a verdant forest these Krabi hot springs are serviced by thermal hot springs that stem from volcanic veins underground. The smooth pools have been carved out of volcanic rock and provide endless hours of soothing bliss.
