Gothenburg Botanical Garden

Welcome to one of Europe's largest and best botanical gardens. The greenhouses have the largest collection of tropical orchids in Sweden, carnivorous plants and the rare Easter Island tree, which is extinct in its natural environment.

A series of exhibitions are held in the greenhouses every year and the garden has a comprehensive schedule of activities all year round.

Haga Gothenburg Old Town

Charming neighbourhood packed with cafés and shops. A shopping spree is not complete without a proper coffee break, and in Sweden, we call it fika. The Haga neighbourhood is perfect for the occasion. The selection of shops is varied, with everything from a hatter to an independent toy store and a local marzipan and chocolate maker. You can also find interior decoration, fashion, antiques, tea, spices and olive oil. There truly is something for every taste and most shops are unique and can't be found elsewhere.

Fish Market (Feskekôrka) Gothenburg

Featuring up-to-date information on top attractions, accommodation, travel tips and more. Stall owners here take great pride in showcasing their wares. Browse impressive displays of salmon, herring and bass framed by colourful vegetables that are cut into fanciful shapes. See “dancing” shrimp shows, live lobsters, pearls made from onion, and penguin statues shaped out of eggplants. Look out for cocktail glasses decorated with prawns and lettuce alongside displays of scrumptious oysters. Visit in Easter to witness the Nordic oyster-opening championships.
