The novel 13 Reasons Why, attempts to navigate the aftermath of a teenage suicide. Dramatized on the popular Netflixs series, a school in Michigan used 13 Reasons Why to open a pathway for conversation into 13 Reasons Why Not, where they thanked people for being their hope, inspiration, and positive factors in their lives. Review 1: You might have already heard of this book because it was made into an extremely popular Netflix series. The storyline is very intriguing, hearing the story of a girl who had recently taken her life and the series of events that led her to do so. This book really makes one think that the smallest thing has the biggest impact on some people.
Review 2: May 24, 2017 by 386285 13 reasons why is about a girl. A girl who is struggling, but no one can tell. She gets to the point in her life where she can’t take it anymore. She makes 13 cassette tapes filled with the 13 reasons why she ended her life. This book is very eye-opening and sad to see what your everyday actions and words can do to a person.
Review 3 by polinabarber: this book is about a girl who commits suiside and leaves tapes of her talking about the reason she died. there are flashbacks from past to present. its a very interestiong book and i highly reccomend watching the show after reading it.
Review 4: Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker his classmate and crush who committed suicide two weeks earlier. Hannah's voice tells him that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them.

Review 2 by 278984: It is a world described in a way that makes the reader think that it way happen and imagine a world like this one that takes place most likely in the future. In the Book it talks about the equality of just about everything. Their is also no conflicts of any kind, shape or form things like wars, battles, rebellion, protesting, negative opinions that could all not lead to any form of cause or conflict. This world is seen through the eyes of a young man that is describing the world that he lives in including of how everyone has a designated job provided to them at a certain age but mostly predetermined and even in a way of genetically predestined from birth. All of then receiving a job like no other that explains just why the things are the way they are, but still needing to find answers that also come from the new way he is able to see the world. Not only that but also see the world of the past, and all hat the rest of this society is never allowed to see or know about for the prevention of the past conflicts using a gift that is given to him since birth that comes with his job.
Divergent is an amazing book filled with intense and action packed chapters along with multiple dynamic characters. If you are a teenager, you will at some point be able to relate to at least one of these characters and hopefully enjoy the amazing story line along the way.
Review 1: A "down to earth" and suspensful book about humans coming together to beat the odds. Could hardly put the book down.

This book is about an astronaut who gets left behind on Mars and has to survive on his own until he can find a way to get back to Earth. It has a lot of humor and really is a tribute to human ingenuity.

One of the only books I have ever read that made me cry tears of joy. Really, a great read.
I like this book a lot.
A beautifully written book which shows the struggle of colored maids. Skeeter, a white school graduate, who is interested to write the perspectives on the helps. Aibileen and Minny are colored maids who are chosen by Skeeter to write their perspectives. But they all faced problems from many people, including Hilly Holbrook, an incredibly racist white woman whose the president of Home Help Sanitation Initiative. She is working to have a law passed that would make it mandatory for white families to build outside bathrooms for their helps. This book makes people look more in depth on racial inequality and how our present world is still flawed in many ways. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

It's Kind of a Funny Story is about a high school student, Craig, dealing with depression. After he attempts to commit suicide he is admitted to an adult psychiatric hospital. This book is really interesting because Craig's development is very apparent throughout the book. The stress Craig experiences from school can be relatable to many high school students. Overall,_ It's Kind of a Funny Story _is very important and interesting and every high school student should read it.
The heartwarming tale of a man and his dog going through life together, told from a dog's perspective. A must read for any animal lover.
Review 1: A short read that covers the gruesome topic of child soldiers. Written by a boy who became a child soldier this book provides a realistic look into the horrors of the war that will leave you more grateful for the life you have.
Review 2: by 299490 This book is a true story about a young boy forced into the army during the Sierra Leone civil war. It follows Ishmael Beah as he loses his family and home, is forced into the war as a drugged soldier, is turned into a heartless killer, and ultimately regains his humanity. This book is intense and graphic and not for the faint of heart, but reveals much about our nature as human beings and the harsh realities of war and should be read by all who can handle it.
Review 1: Winger is a great read about a teenager going through his junior year of high school. This book is a good read but a long one so if you got the time its a good book to read.
Review 2: by 279955 Winger is a young adult fiction novel written by American author Andrew Smith. Set in the prestigious boarding school, Pine Mountain, Oregon, the story follows fourteen-year-old Ryan Dean West as he recounts past events that he has experienced in his journey of maturation.
The House of the Scorpion takes place in the future in a country called Opium which separates the United States and Aztlan (previously Mexico) and is ruled by a powerful drug lord named El Patron. It is about a boy named Matt who is a clone of El Patron and throughout the book he struggles to be free and with his own identity since clones are not seen as actual people in this world and many people hate him. It is a very interesting and intense book to read.
