Santorini Tourist Attractions You Never Miss on Your Vacation

Dreaming about to visit Santorini in this summer vacation. Then you must checkout these top tourist attractions in Santorini which help you to explore Santorini like never before.

Santorini Akrotiri

Akrotiri is certainly an alternative place to stay in Santorini if you are looking for a quiet village and still want a caldera view, though it may not be from your hotel.

Best hotels with Caldera view located in Imerovigli village of Santorini Island Greece

Thirassia, although exactly opposite the Santorini caldera, is a complete contrast from Santorini. Quiet and undeveloped, it is almost untouched by tourism. The island of Thirassia comes under the jurisdiction of the Community of Oia.

Caldera in Santorini island

Santorini Caldera: Information and pictures of the Caldera in Santorini island, Cyclades, Greece.

The caldera of Santorini is actually a basin, four miles in diameter which scientists and archaeologists have linked with the myth of Atlantis. The landscape consists of steel rocks and cliffs that tower above almost touching the sky. It is more than a thousand feet above the sea level and extends underneath the sea for an additional thousand feet, thereby creating a perfect harbour. The caldera has an elevation, which varies between 150 to 350 meters. The distance from one end of the island (Cape Exomitis) to the other end (Cape Mavropetra) is 18 km. The island's breadth varies from 2 to 6 km. Source:

Nea Kameni Volcano

The Cycladic island of Santorini effortlessly enchants with its phenomenal landscape that's replete with sapphire blue water, snow-white architecture, and multicoloured mille-feuille-like cliffs. What I found myself equally impressed with – perhaps even more dazzled by - was learning about the powerful geological events that shaped the island 3,600 years ago with the eruption of one.

Santorini Itinerary 3 Days will take you to the Nea Kameni and other tourist attraction around it.
