Another one of the fabulous Wanaka ski fields you can easily access from your Queenstown ski resort. Cardrona is an all year ski field that is a safe bet for skiers of varied skills. Cardrona is well set up with 4 kids centres dedicated to teaching the little tykes the ropes of skiing and snowboarding in safe environs. Coronet Peak since its opening in 1947 has been a hit amongst visitors and locals. A 20 minute drive from the centre of Queenstown this Alpine mountain boasts 280 hectares of snowy terrain to enjoy. Catering to all abilities the place has a beginner's area for novices while wide groomed trails, varied terrain and steep off-piste runs promise to entertain while offering a touch of daredevil adventure to skilled skiers. A favourite amongst families Coronet Peak is home to an early learning centre that encourages children from the ages of 3 months to 5 years to enrol in the 'Skiwiland' a learning centre that employ experienced and dedicated instructors eager to teach the joys of snow adventures to the youngest members of your family.
