Bangkok is certainly a vibrant holiday destination. Adding loads of excitement and fun to your experience are the many theme parks; where loads of adventures are in store for the entire family.

Art in Paradise Bangkok

This is one of the most fascinating parks to visit in Bangkok. After its roaring success in Pattaya, Art in Paradise has branched out to Bangkok. Located at the Esplanade Shopping Mall this interactive theme park is loads of fun. Enjoy some rib tickling hours within the confines of this museum better known as the 'trick eye museum' or 3D art museum. The place is home to some excellent 3D paintings that seem to swallow you up in its folds. The skillfully executed paintings will have you leaping from the jaws of a killer shark, falling out of a giant teacup or exploring a mysterious Mayan Temple. Open from 10 am to 10 pm the museum is located on the 4th floor of the shopping mall.

2

Dinosaur Planet Theme Park Bangkok

Now, this is one for families or even individuals with a taste for adventure – Jurassic Park style. The park is located in the Phrom Phong area of popular Sukhumvit and is tipped to be home to over 200 species of some very lifelike dinosaurs. Easily reached from your Sukhumvit serviced apartment, the theme park will certainly fascinate and beguile the entire family. Take along the cameras for the dinosaurs are not the only attraction; skilfully displayed in a natural habitat of what earth was like in the prehistoric age, the park has at its centre a volcano while an exotic forest covers the entire precinct acting as home to the many species of giant hunters you will encounter there.

3

Dream World Bangkok

This is where fantasy turns into reality; Dream World promises a magical experience for the entire family. Ride a sleigh, make snow angels or enjoy a snowball fight in Snow Land and look forward to an exhilarating roller coaster ride to the top of Space Mountain. At Dream World, you can meet Pocahontas and Cinderella as the park comes very close in quality to the popular Disney theme parks. Dream World is open from 10 am to 5 pm daily and until 7 pm on all holidays.

4

Fantasia Lagoon Water Park at the Mall

This is one of the city's most famous water parks, located on the rooftop of The Mall Bangkae. Although in existence for many years the place has been relatively undiscovered by tourists and was mostly enjoyed by locals in on the secret. However with recent refurbishments taking place Fantasia Lagoon is now recommended as a no 1 spot for young kids and teens to relish some splashing fun. There are lots of inviting pools and water slides to enjoy while within the mall is a large gaming zone that is bound to pique the interests of young adults.

5

Funarium Indoor Playground

Ideal to visit on a rainy day for families with young kids, the Funarium is just 8 minutes from Somerset Lake Point Bangkok in Sukhumvit. What looks like a huge warehouse on the outside turns into a large fun zone once you step in through the childproof gates. Mind you the gates are a safety precaution designed to keep young children inside. Offering over 2000sqmtrs of space for kids to run, jump, climb, roll and simply burn out loads of energy, Funarium is a great boost to parents offering fun activities such as a baking station and craft corner for active kids.
