There's a ministry for crabs

Sri Lankans love their seafood, and they have a good reason to. Being a beautiful tropical island, you can find various species of seafood which tastes absolutely succulent and amazing. When it comes to crabs, Sri Lankans are serious about it enough to create a ministry for them. It's not really a ministry though, it's a restaurant opened at Dutch Hospital that specialises only in serving crabs. The owners are the popular cricketing legends, Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara along with Darshan Munidasa – owner of popular Japanese restaurant Nihonbashi. The Ministry of Crab restaurant was voted as one of Asia's 50 best restaurants in 2016. You should definitely visit here if you want to try a variety of high end crabs that will make your mouth water!

Where old meets new; the Dutch Hospital has emerged from a hospital complex used during the reign of the British to a modern and chic dining and drinking hub. The Dutch Hospital complete with fine dining and fast food restaurants to chic, trendy and casual bars are popular amongst locals and tourists.
