Staying hydrated is one of the easiest things to stick with while you're on the road. Bringing your water bottle can make it easy (and more cost effective) to fill up with H20. Just be aware that, depending on where you're traveling, the local water might not sit well so buying bottled might be a safer bet.

Find a local store and do some shopping. If possible find a hotel room with a fridge so you can keep healthy snacks on hand. Better yet a room with a small kitchenette will let you cook your own meals. Saving you some cash too!
