Bang Kachao

Bang Kachao is known as Bangkok’s Green Lung and with a good reason! Bang Kachao is a manmade island that is formed around the bend of Chao Phraya River and a canal in the western end. Located south of Bangkok, the island covers around 16 sq kms. A bike trail carved through Bang Kachao is ideal for tourists who wish to travel through the rugged and beautiful landscapes as its serves as the perfect escape from the bustling activity of life in the city. Escape here to get some fresh air and your daily dose of calm and soothing atmosphere. Go on a bike tour through the oasis of greenery for a relaxing day out in the city! This area is protected by the government as it serves as an oasis in the midst of a crowded city. Two of the most important places to visit in Bang Kachao is the Nakhon Si Khuean Khan Botanical Park and the Floating Market known as Bang Talad Nam Peung, where you can find loads of local food, souvenirs and clothing stalls.
