4 Spots to Enjoy the Night Away in Phuket – Fun After Dark

Visiting the fun seaside town of Phuket while on holiday? Here are some must-see places to venture to after the sun goes down!

1

Phuket FantaSea

Among all the attractions Phuket has to offer, there is nothing else like the unique shows staged at Phuket FantaSea, a local theme which has plenty to do and to experience. Situated in Changwat, Phuket around a half hour's drive away from tourist resorts in the area such as Anantara Layan Phuket and many others, the theme park boasts one of Asia's biggest buffets and features hordes of circus-like elements such as trapeze artists and show elephants. It really is like one big carnival. As you may have guessed there is also much here in the way of fun games and shopping, and is a must visit attraction especially if you have the kids in tow along with you.

2

Soi Bangala

From word class nightclubs to a run of local go-go bars and beer bars, Bangala Road in Soi Bangala, Central Patong, is the place to be if you want booze, music and dancing. Also in Soi Bangala, are clubs such as Illuzion and Seduction where eminent local and international DJ's come to showcase their skills. These include names like Judge Jools, David Morales, Nakadia and DJ Bert Bevans. For a great night out on the town where you can dance your heart away to into the wee hours of the morning, Soi Bangala is the place to be.

3

Simon Cabaret

Maybe leave the kids back at the hotel for this one – although, it is said to be a family friendly show, so the choice is really up to you and your sensibilities. Located along Sirirat Road, also in Patong, this cabaret in Phuket puts on a rollicking show full of pomp and pageantry. It's unique draw? The performers are all transgender or transvestites decked out in pretty, flamboyant and slightly racy outfits. For those who don't know what that last term means, transvestites are cross-dressers. Transgender people, on the other hand, are those that don't identify with the gender with which they were physically born with. So as you can imagine, this is a very progressive sort of entertainment house, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, however; especially if one is travelling with family. If you've got a very open-minded bunch at home, though, who never grudged anyone a little bit of harmless fun, then go right ahead and book your seats!

4

Kata Hill

High above Kata Noi beach, you will find a couple or so of what can be termed 'sunset bars'. As per their names, they are bars from which you can enjoy a glorious view of the sunset. They are the perfect places at which to enjoy a laid back night with friends and significant others while sporting a pleasant buzz from an assortment of exotic cocktails. The reggae tunes that most of these bars play are perfect for chillaxing and having a breeze of a time while grooving to the likes of Bob Marley. Great views, good drinks and even better music what more could you ask for? The romantic sunset views create an incredibly romantic atmosphere perfect for amorous couples looking to have an enchanting evening together.
