Best Nightlife in Lisbon

The capital and largest city of Portugal has become one of the most recognised cities in the world, due to its very positive living standards and the city's unique culture.

1

Olivier Avenida

For a long night out you're going to need to some energy to sustain yourself, so this unique restaurant at the AVANI Avenida Liberdade Lisbon serving Mediterranean cuisine with a Japanese twist is definitely an interesting place to start. After all, it's best to start to start your nocturnal adventure in style with dinner at a Lisbon Hotel. The restaurant's design is also akin to many of the popular nightclubs and pubs in the city with an amorous atmosphere and elegant architecture.

2

Park

Bearing a very enigmatic name, this establishment is a new addition to the Lisbon bar scene. It is situated on the topmost section of a multi-level car-park, and provides a most interesting ambience. On any given evening the place gets packed with alluring crowd consisting of young individuals. The music of Park is also quite notable since the DJ plays an eclectic mix of soul, funk and jazz tunes, which is a far cry from the usual electronic bass-heavy tracks that are popular in the modern age. This establishment exists almost defiantly and delivers a unique experience that makes it stand out in a world filled with imitations and generic places.

3

Mesa de Frades

There's a fine line between a nightclub and a restaurant, and Mesa de Frades seems to use that line as a skipping rope. The establishment is housed within a beautiful work of architecture that was built under the behest of King John V of Portugal for a lover of his. The residence was then bought by popular musician Pedro de Castro who converted it into what it is today. It is one of the most fascinating locales in Lisbon and many famous musicians surprise guests with impromptu performances. This is easily an essential experience if you find yourself within this magnificent city.

4

Incognito

This very intimate venue is known for three things, unique music, a distinct crowd and a famous doorman by the name of D'Artangnan. The club is a self proclaimed 'alternative dance bar' and features a very discernible sound that consists of fusion of indie-rock and dance. The club is also known to have a fairly mature and genuine crowd of young people while simultaneously encompassing multiple age groups. The crowd also generally consists of expats who are mostly British or American.

5

Lux Fragil

Many would say that this is Lisbon's leading nightclub. Lux Fragil consists of two distinct sections, one bearing a very lounge-like feel while the other is a conventional dance-floor catering to masses of enthusiastic clubbers dancing the night away. It is definitely one of the more elite nocturnal establishments but the club's regular crowd are known to be friendly. There's a constantly changing repertoire of DJs consisting of local stars and international sensations. The club also features live bands during Sunday afternoons. If you're ever in Lisbon and in search for an unforgettable night out, then this is probably the place to go.
