This is a list of resources I could be using for my Thinglink Project.

Bayreuth Festspielhaus - The Grand Festival Theater

Description - This website gives a lot of history regarding the purpose and construction of the Bayreuth Festspielhaus
Rationale - Students will be able to easily read about the history behind the Bayreuth Festspielhaus. There is a lot of information on this website that will be helpful to them, as they need to know as much as they can about the theatre. There are also pictures that will help them visualize.

Bayreuth Video Guide

Description - An interactive model of Bayreuth containing videos of the different rooms, parts, and aspects of Bayreuth.
Rationale - This video guide is super interactive and allows students to click on a room or part of the building, allowing them to watch video of that room, etc. They get to interact with every part of the building and get a history about the rooms themselves.

The Bayreuther Festspielhaus: Auditorium

Description - Videoguide of the Richard Wagner Bayreuther Festspielhaus - The Auditorium
Rationale - This video provides students with dialogue regarding the construction and purpose of the Bayreuth construction, specifically the auditorium. Paired with video of the Bayreuth itself, students will love the interaction that naturally comes from a videoguide.

Description - Videoguide of the Richard Wagner Bayreuther Festspielhaus - The Main Stage
Rationale - This video is very informative about all the aspects and history behind the main stage design and conncepts, such as the actual use of it as well as its purpose in performance. It is very easy to follow and students will like that they are able to see everything that the video shows during the audial dialogue.

Description - This drawing shows even more of how Bayreuth was actually constructed, as you can see the audience view without chairs.
Rationale - The fact that this resource is an early drawing of the amphitheatre, it will be important for students to understand the continuous levels and shape of the auditorium. This picture allows them the ability to do so.

Richard Wagner | German composer

Description - This source focuses on Richard Wagner himself and information about his life, compositions, and accomplishments.
Rationale - Because Richard Wagner designed the Bayreuth Festspielhaus, it is important to understand him as a person, composer, and designer. This source provides this type of information and it is easy to get around the webpage.

Der Ring des Nibelungen | music dramas by Wagner

Description - This website gives some history and information about the Ring Cycle, one of the pieces of music composed by Wagner to be played in Bayreuth.
Rationale - Understanding this music drama by Wagner helps students understand the construction of the building, reasons for design aspects, and many other things. The website is straightforward and easy to navigate.

Rationale - This picture shows more of what Bayreuth would have looked like in its earlier stages and some of the staging as well. The visual aspects will be great for relating to modern day images.
