This is the ultimate packing list for your upcoming Greece vacation with a focus on only packing the essentials needed for your trip. Pack 2-3 pairs of shorts or pants to wear to the beach, walk around town, and go hiking. Choose shorts and pants that will go with your outfits and fight the temptation to over pack. You don't really need more than this amount.
Pack 3 T-shirts to match your shorts and pants.
This is more than enough for one week and you can do laundry for longer stays.
Pack 1 Sarong to wear over your swimsuit or to wear as a shawl at night over your dress.
Pack 2 Casual Dresses in case you don't want to wear shorts or pants.
Pack 1 Formal/ Party Dress to wear on your night outs.
Pack 1 Light Jacket in case it gets windy and cold. Make sure that's light and compact to ensure that it does not take too much room in your suitcase.
2 Bras are typically enough as you’ll be wearing your swimsuit on most days. If you're not (or if you will be spending more time away from the Islands), pack enough for 1 week.
This is enough for one week and you can do laundry for longer stays.
Pack 1 light Nightwear or Pajama for sleep. Make sure that it's light and that it does not take much room in your suitcase.
Pack 1-3 swimsuits depending on the amount of time that you'll be spending at the pool or beach. It's always a good idea to leave a swimsuit to try while wearing another one. If you won't be spending a lot of time at the pool or beach, only pack 1. If you'll be spending more time, pack 2-3.
Pack 1 Hat for the beach and walks around town. Avoid the urge to pack more as hats do tend to take up room.
Pack 1 pair of Flip Flops to wear to the pool or to the beach.
Pack 1 pair of Nice Sandals and/or Shoes to wear during the day and night.
Pack 1 pair of Hiking Shoes for outdoor activities.
Roads in Greece are not the best for high heels, especially on the Islands. However, if Platforms and High Heels are your thing, pack only 1 pair that you can match with your outfits. Avoid the urge to pack more - you don't need it.
Pack enough Shampoo and Conditioner (travel size) for 1 week. You can always purchase more in the local grocery stores if your hotel does not provide it. If you have a specific Shampoo and Conditioner that you use on your hair, pack enough for your stay. Make sure that they are in travel size containers.
