The Olive Ridley Conservation Walk Deserves Some Attention

Olive Ridley, by the way, is a species of turtles that patronise the beaches of Chennai between December and April. Coming ashore to lay precious eggs these creatures are cherished and protected by students of the Sea Turtle Conservation Network. The Olive Ridley Walk is an effort to locate these eggs and transport them to protected hatcheries where once hatched the baby turtles are safely released back to sea.
