Even though, Sir Bani Yas is known in the region as one of the best places for a beach resort. Abu Dhabi, however, has managed to turn it into a wildlife park as well. A haven for wild beasts and countless trees that thrive in the island, Sir Bani Yas is a long-term ecological investment inaugurated by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and initially served as a wildlife reserve. Today, Sir Bani Yas is home to a thriving wildlife population. Visitors can hop on open air jeeps to meet and greet (from a safe distance) sand gazelles, Arabian Oryx, giraffes, ostriches, cheetahs and much more.
