My Favorite Childhood Cartoons

Best cartoons (some have pretty awesome intros too).

Samurai Jack

Coolest intro/theme song hands down. One of the most cinematic cartoons ever created, very unique settings and character design, and funny in all the right places.

Spider-Man Unlimited

One of the catchiest theme songs ever. This was easily the coolest Spiderman- I mean, he could turn invisible for crying out loud.

Batman Beyond

Best title sequence of all on this list. Loved the futuristic setting, the relationship between the old and the new Batmans, and the art style in general. Cool show.

Digimon Tamers (Season 3)

When I was a kid, I used to watch Digimon, draw them instead of listening in class, and wish they were real. The main character in this season did the exact same thing. I identified with the kid completely- this show really came alive for me because of that. I liked that this season was grittier and darker than the first two, and it took place almost entirely in the "real world", making it even more relatable.

Digimon Adventure 02 (Season 2)

All the well-loved characters from Season 1, with some new characters that were cool right off the bat. I just loved Davis and Veemon! Armor and DNA digivolving were also awesome.

Medabots

Man, this show was just cool. Also pretty downright hilarious. You really fell in love with how overly conceited Ikki's Medabot, "Metabee" was. He had good reason to be too, he did pretty much rock. Dude.

Zoids: New Century

Two words: Gun Sniper.

Transformers: Robots in Disguise

Just a flat-out cool version of Transformers. I mean, it's hard to go wrong with the whole Car/Robots fighting thing, but I really liked the character design in this one. Especially the five-form Megatron.

Shaman King

The characters in this show were flat-out awesome! You just had to love them, they were all so cool. Liked the kid with the snowboard the most.

Ultimate Muscle

This show was ridiculously funny when I was a kid. Plus, I love the over-the-top characters and how everyone was a wrestler and all that. Very interesting show indeed.
