Adult Activities in Maldives - Sorry Kids, Grown Ups Only

Sure, kids are cute and fun, but sometimes you just need some time off to enjoy some adult things. So whether you're going solo or with your SO to Maldives, here are some adult activities to try out,

1

Get Wet

With the gorgeous Indian Ocean surrounding the islands, you don't need rocket science to understand that most of the fun takes place in the water. When in Maldives, water sports are the bomb! From riding the waves on a surfboard to snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding and kayaking; you are met with a smorgasbord of uber-cool water sports.

2

Getaway

Yeah so you escaped the kids, but what good is it when you're surrounded by more when you're holidaying? Thankfully, in Maldives, a resort hotel that caters to only adults is not so hard to find. Take the Anantara Veli Maldives Resort for example; their website itself starts off by saying "a serene adults-only tropical setting". Choosing such a resort means that you won't be hearing any crying in the night, no angry tantrums to witness, and plenty of peace and quiet...

3

Get Lit

Looking like something out of a fairytale or a sci-fi movie, the Glow in the Dark Beach Mudhdhoo Island is the place to hit if you want something out of the ordinary from your stay in the Maldives. Just look at it, it's so lit!- like literally! Apparently, the effect is caused by bioluminescent phytoplankton that emits light when they are stressed. So if you ever feel tensed about while 'adulting' just know that even tiny organisms get stressed out and it's no big deal!

4

Take A Walk- Under The Sea!

Tired of walking on the land? Try walking under the sea! No annoying crowds of humans to deal with, just lots and lots of colourful, fascinating marine life like schools of fish, giant turtles, manta rays and spectacular formations of corals. And one of the best things is you don't have to know swimming to do it. All you have to do is wear a see-through oxygen mask and just walk! There will be an instructor at all times to make sure you don't go 'jaywalking' LOL

5

Just Chill

This is the time to just chill. If you're with your sweetheart go on long romantic walks in the sunset, and if you're single, go on long walks in the sunset and fall in love with nature. Go to a spa and treat yourself to a luxurious treatment cause you know you deserve it. Read a book while tanning your cheeks and buns to a golden glow. Without those little devils called kids around, you finally have time to discover, enjoy and explore yourself in peace and paradise...
