Karla Black is a Scottish sculptor whose work, Doesn't Care In Words, was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2011.

Black represented Scotland at the 54th Venice Bienale in 2011. STROMA Films was commissioned by Scotland + Venice, Creative Scotland, The Fruitmarket Gallery and the British Council to make 3 films to support Karla Black’s show in the Scottish Pavilion.

They also relayed the artist’s ideas and the exhibition experience to people unable to make it to Venice during the 6 months of the Biennale.

Jonnie is a Scottish musical artist with a huge amount of talent. In this video he composes a new piece of music to represent The McManus Museum in Dundee and has included sounds from the museum itself.

Drawn to Light - Duncan Marquiss

Two of Scotland’s leading young artists, Duncan Marquiss & Jonnie Common, were commissioned to create 2 new artworks for The McManus Museum in Dundee.

Duncan produced a video installation that was played on the exterior of the museum building. The video represents the museum and included many of the museum’s collection of objects and artworks.

Duncan is an extremely talented Scottish artist who works with film and video, drawing, writing and music.
