The biggest waterpark in Dubai, Aquaventure will not disappoint the adrenaline junky. The park is divided into two sections by a huge lazy river that takes patrons across on fun slides. On either side are towers; the Poseidon and Neptune. The park can easily compete amongst the world's top adrenaline pumping theme parks, with daredevil rides such as Leap of Faith and Poseidon's Revenge taking the thrill factor to a higher notch. Mind you a strong stomach and wild sense of adventure is required to enjoy these rides. The park is also home to plenty of family friendly fun, where cooling off and getting out of the desert heat are top attractions.
Opened in 1999 this is Dubai's original waterpark. The place is still a top crowd puller that attracts a range of visitors both young and old. Although the park is over 15 years old the rides are always top of the line, getting constantly updated while the park confines are always at its pristine best. This is one of the iconic Dubai tourist attractions you should not miss; along with a stay at the manmade offshore wonder the Palm Jumeirah. The top ride at Wild Wadi is the Jumeirah Sceirah which is a 120m slide that takes riders along at speeds of over 80km/ph - once dropped from a trap door. Adding to this mad rush of adventure are the raft rides that seem to precariously veer to the edge before plunging along the flowing waterways. The park is quite close to Palm Jumeirah hotels including Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort and is a must visit for loads of nail biting fun in the water.
This marvellous family friendly park is located close to the famous Dubai Marina. The Beach Water Park comprises of inflated obstacles that bob about on a water course. These include climbing walls, trampolines and a variety of slides. Since all previous parks highlighted adrenaline pumping fun that is clearly for a mature audience it is safe to say that this park is home to a delightful docile sector called 'Splash Pad'. There the youngest members of your family may enjoy fun obstacles such as a tipper bucket, a climbing frame and lots of splashy fun at the fountains. Once you are done with your bout of watery fun, dry off and get set for some evening entertainment. The place is home to lovely beachside cafes and good restaurants that line the promenade. An in-house movie theatre is marvellous for catching the latest flicks with the entire family.
