This is my technology top ten list that I think is very useful to future teachers as well as current teachers. They are great websites and apps that can help make a classroom fun and transform a classroom.
Seesaw is an online website and an app where students can have online portfolios with parents communication. You can have different accounts based off of if you are a teacher, student, or parent.
Popplet is an app or a website that students can use to think and learn visually. Students can write and organize their ideas using charts that they can make and design on their own. Popplet can be useful for many things especially writing and story telling because hey can come up with an idea and then branch off of it and visually design it.
The crayola website is a great website that teachers can use to get creative ideas for arts and crafts in their classroom. It is linked to pintrest so it tells you all of the supplies you will need along with directions and the time frame it takes to complete. On this website, you have the option to pick grade level and subject.
Socrative is an app and a website that allows teachers to connect with their students. Teachers can set up activities and quizzes that the students can take part in. This is a great website to make assessing student knowledge fun and engaging.
Padlet is a website that is sort of like a virtual wall. It allows students and teachers to post things such as notes and make it pubic for other students and for a public discussion. I like to think of it as virtual sticky notes.
My story book is a website that students can use to create an online story book. Students can also read other students book that are in the online library and another great feature is students can publish their stories and their books to make it available to family to read.
Coolmath4kids.com is an online website where students can play online math games. Students can have a lesson and then a quiz all off of these games. Grade level and topic can be selected. It is a free website and it is a fun way of learning math.
IXL is a website used by over 6 million students to learn math, science, language arts, and social studies. Grade levels can be chosen from pre-k to 12th grade. It is a dynamic and adaptive way of learning. Another great feature of this website is the fact that it is linked to the Florida standards.
Quiver 3D is an augmented reality app. Students can color pages and look at what they colored using an iPad and the app and it bring it to life and allows the students to get a closer look at what they are learning about. The website has the coloring pages available for printing.
Funbrain.com is a website available for students to play online educational games for all grades and subjects. It is basically an online arcade that makes learning fun for students.
