Consisting of gorgeous streams and clear pools the beautiful Than Sadet falls are the most famous on Koh Phangan. There is also some historical significance to the place as it was first paid a visit by the king himself; when in 1880 King Rama IV on a visit left a lasting inscription on the rock. Since then more royalty have visited the very popular waterfall including last King Bhumibol. The waters of Than Sadet Waterfall are considered sacred and used for all royal ceremonies. The falls are made of 3 veins; Thong Naan, Deang and Saampon. Linked by rock boulders, pools and streams the falls span a distance of 3kms, an endeavour that all hiking fans and nature lovers will enjoy.
