Than Sadet Waterfall

Consisting of gorgeous streams and clear pools the beautiful Than Sadet falls are the most famous on Koh Phangan. Since then more royalty have visited the very popular waterfall including last King Bhumibol. The waters of Than Sadet Waterfall are considered sacred and used for all royal ceremonies. The falls are made of 3 veins; Thong Naan, Deang and Saampon. Phaeng Waterfall

Just after the wet season is the best time to visit these grand falls which are quite stunning. The waterfall belongs to the islands national park and is found at the centre of Koh Phangan. Phaeng consists of 2 falls; Phaeng Yai the big fall and Phaeng Noi the smaller one. On your trek to the falls you will first come to Phaeng Noi while it must be noted the summit of the steep falls is inaccessible.
