Kufri is another hill station which is also a popular winter destination.The Mahasu Peak is known for hiking and is surrounded by thick forest. It is at 2,743 meters above sea level and this snow caped region is even more beautiful in the winter. It is located near Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. This place has many other things to enjoy like amusement park equipped with various rides, pools and the worlds highest go-kart tracking.
Gulmarg is situated in Srinagar this place is famous for Skiing and has the most popular cable car known as Gondola. Prime tourist destinations nearby include the Alpathar Lake and the Tangmarg.The winter starts in the month of December but the peak season is mostly the months of January and February. An annual 3 day festival is held in march.
Dhanaulti is located in Uttarakhand and is at an elevation of 2286 meters above sea level. This hill station is about 24 km from Mussoorie. ECO-Park, is the main attraction of Dhanaulti. There are two Eco-parks, "Amber" and "Dhara" about 200 m apart. In winter the temperature ranges from 7 °C and -1 °C.
